Products of a miscarriageFrom: Jane (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jul 2000 14:19:17 -0500 (CDT)
I have been having very peculiar HCG readings since I found out that I was pregnant, plus a little bleeding from time to time. The readings over the last 3-4 weeks have been:56, 30, 75, 65, 60, 80, 153 last Thursday and today 303. All this has been pointing towards a possible ectopic pregnancy (and I've had one before and tube removed). I am due to go for a scan tomorrow lunchtime and to see the Consultant (I am now 7 weeks 3 days since lmp). However, this evening I had some ordinary period like cramps (half hour) and some more blood (heavier and redder than a normal period). I also passed what looks like a 3cmx2cm is lump of liver? Does this sound like the products of a normal inter-uterine pregnancy, or shall I not breathe a sigh of relief yet? How soon would I expect my HCG levels to drop after this if it was a placenta? Any help anyone can give me re this will be extremely useful. Thanks
