I have been to a number of doctors/frequent emergency visits for what i thought were bladder infections. I had urine tests, blood tests, catheter tests, an ultra sound, a vaginal scope, colposcopy, and a biopsy. Nothing has been found, but i am always uncomfortable and urinate at least 20 times a day. If you know of any possible solutions or tests that i need to take please let me know. I drink a huge amount of water everyday, drink cranberry tea and pure juice plus supplements. I've taken antibiotics (macrobin) and others without any success. Additionally, i've tried herbal remedies as well. thankyou and i am looking forward to your reply Caroline ----------------------- Headers -------------------------------- Return-Path: <.womens-health@obgyn.net> ----------------------- Headers -------------------------------- Received: from rly-zd05.mx.aol.com (rly-zd05.mail.aol.com [172.31.33.229]) ----------------------- Headers -------------------------------- by air-zd05.mail.aol.com (v75_b3.9) with ESMTP; Sun, 30 Jul 2000 19:29:25 -0400 Received: from mail.medispecialty.com (pe3-10.medispecialty.com [216.141.7.10]) by rly-zd05.mx.aol.com (v75_b3.9) with ESMTP; Sun, 30 Jul 2000 19:29:12 -0400 Received: from forum (IDENT:anonymous@obgyn.net [127.0.0.1]) by mail.medispecialty.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id SAA23754; Sun, 30 Jul 2000 18:28:52 -0500 Date: Sun, 30 Jul 2000 18:28:52 -0500 Message-Id: <200007302327.SAA23278@mail.medispecialty.com> Errors-To: womens-health-request@obgyn.net Reply-To: womens-health@obgyn.net Originator: womens-health Sender: womens-health@obgyn.net Precedence: bulk From: dorothylongo@hotmail.com (Caroline) To: Multiple recipients of list WOMENS-HEALTH <.womens-health@mail.medispecialty.com> Subject: swollen bladder/irritation no infection X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0d -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas X-Comment: Women's Health Issues Forum
>> Caroline- I am not in the medical field, but I think I might can help you some. I have experienced the same exact thing that you are describing and my gyn sent me to a Urologist and he did a Cystoscopy to look at the bladder (sounds like you might had that, not sure) and I ended up having a bladder disease called IC (Interstitial Cystitis). The symptoms are what you are describing for the doctors here. It can be misdiagnosed if its not done under general anesthesia. I hope that this helps you and you get some answers soon, I know it can be very frustrating! Stacey
