Montgomery, MD: "Re: spotting between periods" I have been taking Alesse now for about a year and its been really great as far as side effects go but the last 3 months ive had spotting starting around the 19th day of my cycle, it usually lasts 1-3 days and its light but still annoying. I have an appointment with my doctor in a couple weeks to make sure nothing else is up but assuming its from the pill because it comes at the same time every month and im pretty sure someone told me its common with low dose pills.. I am just wondering if its recommended to switch pills because of this and if so what type of birth control pill would be better? Thanks :) Next message: Lynn D.
