endometriosis, pregnancy and hysterectomyFrom: Dawn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 20 Jul 2000 18:00:01 -0500 (CDT)
I am 31 yrs. old and was diagnosed with endo at 18. I have been told the chancy of pregnancy is unlikely. AT 29 I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. I took ralaxophene for 1 year and dexa scanned showed no improvement. I was taken off it and was contemplating hysterectomy since I had already had 3 laser laps. to clean out endo. I found out I was pregnant and miscarried at almost 6 weeks. The doctor felt it was tubal and I just had surgery to remove the diseased tube as well as disease. My doctor said if I don't get pregant in 1 year I need a hysterectomy because I need to take estrogen for my bones and can't with endo. I have pituitary failure so have has little estrogen all my life. But since I got pregnant on my own for the first time, even after clomid failed years ago, I no longer want a hysterctomy. Do you think it would be detromental to my health if I didn't have one? What are the odds that I will actually get pregnant and it be viable anyway? Thanks Dawn
