LISA,

MOST DOCS PERFORM AN ANTERIOR REPAIR FOR CONDITIONS OF CYSTOCELE ---JUST AS YOU SAID A TIGHTENING OF THE FASCIA--SORT OF PUSHING THINGS UP. THE MAIN REASON WHY THE BLADDER FALLS IS BECAUSE THE VAGINAL WALL WHICH IT SITS UPON IS NO LONG ATTACHED TO THE MUSCLES OF THE PELVIC SIDEWALL. THIS CONDITION IS KNOWN AS A PARAVAGINAL DEFECT. MOST PATIENTS SHOULD HAVE A PARAVAGINAL REPAIR TO CORRECT CYSTOCELE NOT AN ANTERIOR REPAIR. If so, is >there a center or a doctor somewhere in the U.S. who is on the

MANY UROGYNECOLOGISTS PERFORM THIS OPERATION....SOME OF US DO IT ROUTINELY LAPAROSCOPICALLY. MY WEBSITE WILL BE UP TOMORROW (WITHOUT PICTURES) --- YOU MAY FIND IT TO BE INFORMATIVE, I THINK IT WILL BE MORE INFORMATIVE ONCE WE HAVE THE PICTURES WITH THE TEXT.

HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL
