Re: Atkins Diet -- Thx Dr Braun

I've done WW twice before. I was miserable every single day I was on it -- spent the whole day trying to figure out what I could eat and being depressed over what I couldn't have. And I was always hungry. I never got to where I felt better physically because I was eating a more balanced diet. I was just tired, irritable, and hungry. And after the last round of WW, I ended up with gallstones. Regained every ounce of weight and then some. It was almost like after months of being miserable, I just rebelled and gave in to every urge I had for months.

I am now fatter than I have ever been -- at least as heavy as I was the day I delivered my last baby a year ago. I am looking at some different alternatives. I just can't get enthused about WW again, and I suspect I am wasting my time and money if I start out with a negative attitude about it. Right now, I just don't even think it's is doable to lose as much weight as I need to lose (>60 lbs). I certainly can't get psyched up about being miserable for the next year or so trying. And then being miserable forever trying to not gain it back. I don't really know what my options are.

Thanks for your candid response.

Andrea
