Re: Abdominal PainFrom: BJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 12 Jul 2000 19:16:19 -0700
Mona, Your post caught my eye because I'm beginning to suspect that I may have gallstones. The problem is that I don't know anything about the condition. My problem began with an infrequent "swelling" type of discomfort beneath and also below my ribs on the right side, which after a few occurrences (over a couple of month's time) began to radiate across to the center of my chest area, just below the ribs. Eventually the attacks have become a little more frequent and more uncomfortable, lasting up to 20 minutes and then dissipating rather suddenly, especially with deep breathing. I have noticed some sweating as the discomfort progresses. Is this anything like what you were going through initially? I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor, but if you would please respond to this email, it would be very helpful as a point of reference. (Of course I would also be appreciative of responses from people who can relate, and from a doctor who is mediating this post.) Thank you! Judy
