As with my first labor, I requested an epidural. At first it worked, within an hour it had stopped working. At this time the amount was increased at which point we realized the epidural was working on only my right side. Although the epidural relieved no pain, it left my entire right side with a burning sensation. I was never given an explanation as to why this happened.
