Re: problem pregnancyFrom: Robin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Jun 2000 19:26:04 -0500 (CDT)
Denise, I can't answer the medical part of your question. I do want to offer my support and hope that all works out well for you and the baby. One thing that I have been told many times when I have gone for Ultrasounds or other tests where the Tech can see something is that they are not allowed to discuss their findings with the patient. That is for the Dr. (The referring MD and sometimes the Radiologist) to sit with you and discuss. This takes care of any miscommunication, errors in reading on the Tech's part, etc. I had a tech tell me one thing on an Ultrasound and the Dr. tell me it was nothing to worry about, although the Tech told me she would be concerned if it were her....talk about being scared! The Dr. is the one with the training to really be able to interpret the findings. I understand that the Tech's are trained to do the tests, and that is great, but they are not trained so much in how to interpret, the Drs. are. Hope this helps you. Again, good luck with everything!! Please keep us updated.
