problem pregnancyFrom: Denise (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Jun 2000 17:18:55 -0500 (CDT)
I am about 7weeks pregnant. I became pregnant while using an IUD. I went to the doctor and she confirmed that I was pregnant. She sent me to have a sonogram at that time i was about 4 weeks. The sonogram showed no evidence of a gestational sac. I then went back several times and had blood drawn for the HCG level it started at 4941 it then went to 7331 then to 33,745 and now 7 days later it is at 96,000. Before the last blood work she sent me for another sonogram and the technician said she seen the fetal pole however it was close to the lining and she could not measure. she also told me that until they got a destictive picture the radiologist would not claim it. the report went back to my doctor and she said in the report there was no evidence of a fetal pole repeat blood work and she did. Now i am sitting here incredilbe frustrated because i have been going through this for the last 4 weeks. Do you think i should be worried about my baby? Would you have followed the same procedures as these doctor? Was it proper for the tecnician to tell me one thing and put something totally different in the doctors report? What do you suggest i do and can you give me some words of encouragement.
