To be completely accurate, YES. I usually don't pay much attention to the first SA. I chalk it up as a learning experience. Byt he time, the second or third one is done, it is usually collected adequately nad is good data. OTOH, it also depends somewhat on what results were "Bad". If the motility was absent and the specimen was in the lab less than 30 minutes after collection and it was kept at body temperature, then the loss of the first part of the sample wouldn't cause that.
