metrorrhagia?From: Kathy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Jun 2000 22:08:06 -0500 (CDT)
I am 31 years old. In February of 2000 I stopped taking birth control pills and my husband and I have been trying to conceive. In March, April & May of 2000, a week or so before I started my menstrual cycle I got yeast infections that lasted 3 to 7 days. The yeast infections have stopped but now I am having my cycle about every other week. I got my cycle May 26th, June 5th, June 20th, and again on June 29th. My cycle lasts 5 to 7 days. I went to my doctor and she was more concerned about the yeast infections. She did blood tests and everything was normal. She will not do a pelvic exam while I am bleeding so I have not been able to get throughly checked. Could this just be my body coping without the birth control pills and trying to find a normal hormone level? Or can this be something more serious. I am very concerned. What should my doctor and I be looking for? Thank you ahead of time for your advise. Sincerely, Kathy - La Crescenta, CA
