Fibroids can cause heavier bleeding and more cramps during your period, but they are not usually associated with a change in the timing. Endo is associated with painful menstruation as well, but it may not cause any symptoms at all. If your uterus is enlarged on US, it could mean that it is a variation of normal, you could have dibriods (although these can often be distinctly identified), or you could have adenomyosis. The last condition is caused by the uterine lining (endometrium) spreading into the muscle fibers of the uterus. It can cause heavy periods and increased pain.
