Morgan, Unfortunately, most pills aren't around long enough for you to go on the pill your mom was on. Another unfortunate thing is that the pill is blamed for a lot of things that it isn't responsible for. For instance, I can think of no reason why any oral contraceptive would make an individual "on edge". One must look at other sources for the cause of this kind of symptom. I personally have had good success changing patients to Lo-Ovral for bleeding problems while on the phasic pills. There is a different progesterone formulation that minimizes the bleeding difficulties on the other pills. My final thought is the fact that you really have to stay on a pill for a while to assure that it won't be the one for you. It strikes me that you have been switched to often and when the switch is made it is a "lateral move". In other words even though the brand name is changed, the hormonal content of these various pills is the same... Lynn
