Ablation for just pain....not heavy bleeding?

Hello,

I am trying to help someone that wants a hyst and her insurance company will not do it until an ablation is tried. She is in her mid twenties and complains of pain only, not heavy bleeding. She has done research and read that it is not recommended for pelvic pain, and people{non-medical professionals} are telling her that an ablation might work for her despite this research she has done and I feel it will not since she has no heavy bleeding, but pain all month. I was told when I had my ablation done is would not work for pain, just for my bleeding and it would not change my PMS and my doctor was right although I do not have menstrual cramps anymore, but they were not that big an issue pre ablation. What is your opinion on this matter?

Thanks,

Deb
