I had a adenomyoma removed and was diagnosed with endometriosis. I was on GNRH agonist injection as a post operative treatment for 3 months. Now my doctor has suggested that I be on progesterone (80mg/d) to prevent the 2 conditions from coming back and worsening. How effective is progesterone in preventing adenomyoma recurrence and in treating endometriosis and what other options do I have?
