6cm Ovarian Cyst - Is surgery the safest option?

Hello,

5 years ago I had surgery to remove a 10cm cyst on my left ovarian cyst. With that ovarian cyst I had a lot of pain and I was frequently nauseous. During a recent gyn exam my dr. found a 6cmx7cm cyst on my other ovary. I had only been having mild symptoms that I might have an ovarian cyst. Is surgery my best option at this point. I have had other cysts that have come and gone on their own, but I have been told that it is rare for a cyst this size to go away on it's own. Should I take the risk of it getting too large for laproscopic surgery, or the weight twisting my ovary to hopefully avoid painful surgery. I have been on the pill for over 5 years, and I still get these large cysts. Any advice?

Thanks, Hope
