The body produces steroids in the adrenal gland or on occasion in adrenal like tissue in other parts of the body. The hump will usually resolve to some degree if the source of steroids is removed or controlled-that is if this is really the cause. I would not wait for an assessment until July. I would ask your pediatrician to evaluate for an adrenal abnormality or excess. This can be life-threatening if indeed there is adrenal tissue producing an excess of steroids... Lynn
