Montgomery, MD: "Re: Hump back and hormones" My daughter who is 16 is on the pill because she has polycystic disease. She has a huge hump on her back that has gotten bigger. Her doctor had her get xrays and she does have a slight curve and because of her age there is nothing she can do for it now and the hump is what is called a buffalo hump back which her ped thinks is hormonal and is possibly a side effect from the pill.
