Due to time constraints, private e-mails cannot be answered. > Well, I went back to see my gyn/surgeon. She examined me and ordered an ultrasound to rule out an incisional hernia. That was ruled out, and the radiologist said that he saw no sign of any fluid collection. My dr. did say that she thought it might be an (unrelated to surgery) g/i issue. She also had me switch from taking Advil for the swelling to Aleve. Now, nearly one week later, my swelling is still increasing - it's advancing towards the belly button from my left side. I am having unusual bowel movements - 4 each on Sat & Sun, and 1 today. My question is, should I go to the g/i dr. or just give this more time? My surgeon is pretty uninterested in it, but has mentioned twice now that it might be a g/i issue. I don't want to be an alarmist, but just have no idea if this is something I should be concerned about.
