Re: 6 month post endometrial thermal baloon ablationFrom: Debbie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 22 May 2000 16:52:13 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, Sorry to hear your ablation didn't do for you what it was supposed to do:(( Did you have ANY relief from it..or were the periods heavy from the first cycle on? I had the balloon ablation done in Feb this year too, and my doctor told me if I get ANY relief, but not enough, we could go ahead and do a second ablation. From the research I have done on ablations...and I did a LOT(I even had a website on ablation discussion I started for woman with ablations to share our experiences with it)...with the balloon ablation your lining almost has to be perfect with no abnormalties for it to be successful. With polyp tissue fragments as you said the D&C diagnosed...I don't know. My doctor had another patient he did an ablation on the same day as mine, her's was her second one...because of polyps..and I didn't ask him what ever happened with that. I know how frustrating this is to go through. Waiting and trying our alternatives..I have been there and done that too. Best wishes, Debbie
