Strange pregnant-like symptoms

I am 20 years old and have always had regular periods. I have been on the pill for about a year and a half, and have never had any problems with it. Last month, i was about 16 hrs late taking one pill, and took it as soon as i rememebered. However, my period did not come for that cycle. I had a pregnancy test done and it was negative. I was also tested for STD's and was also negative. However, in the week and a half before my period was due i experienced some weird symptoms: Spotting, which I've never experienced before, dizzyness, light-headedness, vomitting, loss of appetite, abdominal cramping and these weird stabbing pains in my abdomen. These symptoms continued even after i restarted taking the pill (my period never came). I was also been tired, and have also been extremely moody. I cry for no reason, have a very short temper, sleep over 10 hours and wake feeling exhausted.

This has gotten better in the last few weeks, but my period this cycle was only a day, not much more than spotting, which is far lighter than my usual 4 days. I've been to my doctor but the only thing he can find wrong with me is that i have extremely low blood pressure (80/60).

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what could be going on with my body. My doctor is toying with the idea of a somewhat serious hormonal imbalance, but i need to get more tests done. I'd appreciate any input.

Thanx.
