Re: Does one have to have pain to have adenomyosis? From: Debbie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 20 May 2000 23:34:00 -0500 (CDT)
Thanks for the reply:-) I am not a nurse, but I sure have that "female intuition" going on for me..or maybe it is a gutt instinct..or a hunch..but anyway, I just feel that something is not right. I feel that one does not go from 21 years of light normal bleeding with menses...to not being able to walk and be in Depends for the blood loss, for two years..without a cause. I put myself through all those invasive tests, did the D&C...that was a joke..it did more harm than good..my bleeding got worse after the D&C..and now this alternative to a hyst...but...I am so not satisfied at all. I don't feel free...I know that my uterine lining can grow back..and I will never really feel normal while this uterus is in my body! I must sound crazy..I am totally sane I assure you..I am just a woman that bled so heavy over and over again it left me paralyzed with fear and tired and sick of it all. I am going to see my doctor and am asking him about doing a vag. hyst again. I almost did it but backed out at the last minute...I was seconds away from anesthesia and being done with all this...but I chickened out since it was a major surgery...not this time. Thanks:) Glad to hear you are done with all this:)
