Worried Sick - Unusual SymptomsFrom: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 20 May 2000 20:16:15 -0500 (CDT)
I have been experiencing unusual burning and irritation in my labia, vaginal and anal area for about 2 months. I have also had some mild sharp-shooting pains and aches in that area & a whitish vaginal discharge (no smell). I don't have a constant urge to urinate, so I don't think I have a UTI and I have never had any of these symptoms before. When I examine/touch the area, I do not see an abnormalities and there is no pain. None of the women in my family have ever had cancer or any other problems in that area. I am a virgin. The only thing that has changed in my life is that I have been on the Atkins diet for 8 months and have lost more than 70 pounds. I have suffered with severe constipation for the last 2-3 months. I eventually resorted to using enemas and suppositories 3-4 times a week for a month, but I stopped because I started to develop the above symptoms as well as muscle aches and pain in the anal and vaginal area when pushing during bowel movements. I have recently starting using "Dieter's Herbal Tea" which cleanses my bowels naturally (I think), and does not require me to push as much. Can anyone help?
