There are many, many reasons for missing periods --on or off hte pill. Pregnancy is #1. Being too thin or too fat is another reason. Thyroid imbalance can cause missed periods too, as can many other conditions. Your daughter's gynecologist can help determine the reason for the missed periods as well as the best treatment.
