Despite numerous tests, still no answer on bleeding...From: Debbie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 19 May 2000 14:23:45 -0500 (CDT)
I always had normal periods. For 21 years...light...4-5 days. Two years ago that changed. I started getting floods for periods they were so heavy..and long..11-13 days...the last few days would be spotting. Had every test done...pap/pelvix exams, abdominal ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, saline infused sonogram, hysteroscopy, endo biopsy, D&C...no cause was found. That is frstrating not knowing what happened and what caused all that bleeding. I am 32, 2 children...13 and 11...and had an ablation in Feb for the bleeding which is working, but I still wish I had a name for it, besides menorrhagia...what I want to know is what caused the menorrhagia? Something had to go wrong..you don't go from 21 years of normalcy to what I barely lived through without a cause. With nothing found, what could the cause have been? I know this is a tough one, but do you have any ideas? Thank you:)
