Question on the location of fibroids

I know there are a few different types of fibroids one can get, I don't know all the names though...and if I understand it correctly it is the submucous(sp?) one that can cause awful menses...is this true? This is the one that would be located inside the uterus? What about the other types of fibroids...can they cause bleeding problems too, like the submucous one does? Thank you:)
