Two weeks ago, my doctor noticed that I had a tear in my placenta, but did not show a great deal of concern. As of yesterday, my placenta had numerous tears and is creating "bands" within the placenta. I would like to know if there is a name for this condition, how risky is it, and are there any cures? I am now considered a "high-risk pregnancy". I am almost 17 weeks along. Thank you for your time.
