While not impossible to happen, pain in the back and going down the leg is not usually a sign of ectopic pregnancy. Brown discharge means having so little blood that the acid of the vagina has a chance to turn it brown before it is passed. Call your physician about these symptoms, he/she may want to do a pregnancy test today and again on Fri. before giving the Depo shot.
