I have been pescribed 50mg of Cyproterone Acetate as part of my treatment for PCOS. Wanted to know if there are any side affects for long term use. In particular I've been told that if u fall pregnant whilst on this medication it can cause a male foetus to acquire female characteristics. Is this true? If so what happens if u stop taking this med. and at a later stage fall pregnant, will there still be this risk? Also wanted to know if smoking whilst on this medication increases the risk of thrombosis? Is there any other info. anyone can tell about this med. Thanks
