Re: **Negative Pelvic CT & Pelvic sonogram** Endo in tissue??From: Robin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 10 May 2000 06:25:32 -0500 (CDT)
Connie, I am sorry for what you friend is going through, and am sorry for the way in which she was treated by the Dr. Endo does not show up on a CT or Sonogram, so just because they were normal doesn't mean she doesn't have Endo. Unless ALL of the Endo is removed (excised) during the surgery, she can still have problems. Just doing the TAH/BSO doesn't take care of it. I don't know where your friend is located, but there are several Drs. around the country that deal with Endometriosis. I went to Robert Albee, MD in GA. His website is full of information, past newsletters, etc. The address is http://www.centerforendo.com. Dr. Albee does excise the Endometriosis until the implant has been removed. More Drs. are now starting to do this, but there aren't many. If GA is too far away, and you would like to know if there is anyone in your State, just let me know where you live, and I can find out who, if anyone, is the closest to you. I wish your friend much luck, and hope she is feeling better soon!
-- Robin
