Constipation/Vaginal problemsFrom: LM (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 7 May 2000 16:15:23 -0500 (CDT)
I am very concerned about several symptoms I have experienced within the last 2 months. I am a virgin so a sexually transmitted disease is not the problem. I started experiencing severe constipation about two and a half months ago (due to the Atkins diet). Out of sheer desperation, I began using enemas/suppositories. I also developed a strange way of pushing out bowel matter which included rocking back and forth while on the toilet and laying back to push. Within several weeks I began experiencing burning/irritation (no itching) in my vulva/vaginal/anal area and a clear discharge (no smell). The constipation is much better and I have stopped using the enemas/suppositories because of the problems I hear they can cause. Although I have seen some overall improvement with my symptoms, I am very worried that I did damage to myself because I have never experienced anything like this before. Please help!
