Dr. Shanahan: Cervical Mucous During Period

I am 47. I read your earlier post to a woman who raised a question about cervical mucous during her period. I experienced this for the first time last month. It was on the first day when I was beginning to spot. The mucous was clear and looked like egg whites and there was a lot of it. You agreed with the woman that her hormones were "out of whack." What does out of whack mean? (I suspect this is just life in the menopause lane.) Smile :-)
