Osteitis Pubis is an inflammation of the pubic bone and surrounding cartilage in the are of the pubic symphysis. It can be caused by trauma to the pubic bone; e.g. surgery, delivery, auto accidents, etc. It is my understanding that it frequently requires long periods of rest and anti inflammatory drugs to cure.
