I share a similar story. I delivered about 21 months ago. It was my secong pregnancy. I still have pain in my symphysis pubis. I thought I was the only one who felt like this. The pain was slight after my first pregnancy, but remained until my second pregnancy. It has since worsened. After both pregnancies I fear I started exercising too much too soon. Two weeks after my first pregnancy I went rock climbing, and 6 weeks after I delivered I went waterskiing several times. Four weeks after my second pregnancy I started jogging 2 miles three times a week and haven't really slowed down since. The pain worsened recently after I ran a 5K. I notice the pain most when I sit down for long periods of time, or when I participate in activities that require quick movements (tennis, sprinting, etc). It's also painful to sleep on my back with my legs out straight. It seems to help a little when I contract my stomach muscles. Is there anything I can do? What do I tell my doctor in order to ensure the right diagnosis and the right treatment? Can it be treated successfully?
