My doctor said that I would have to wait until my next cycle before it would be safe to have intercourse, however the information packet that came with the alesse pills says that I only have to use a backup method of protection for a week, and then can have unprotected sex because the pill will be completely effective then. Who's right, My doctor or the instructions? And if it's only a week, why would my doctor say it was longer?
