When having a hysterectomy, concerns about previous surgery and adhesions from them would cause most good surgeons to choose the abdominal route. Without knowing you or your exact situation, if this were presented to me at grand rounds at the hospital, I would think adhesikons secondary to endometriosis and 3 prior laps. The last lap, the hysterectomy, just may have added to the picture already there.
