No and its not. Those are the short answers to your questions. The BCP's are hormones like those your body secretes. They function by fooling the body into thinking it is pregnant and therefore, it does not cycle and ovulate as per usual. Your ovaries as such are basically dormant. Lynn -- Lynn D.
