By definition, this is infertility = lack of pregnancy after one year of unprotected intercourse. You should see your gynecologist. The first step is a comple history (of your periods, prior STDs, surgeries, medical conditions) and an exam. The second is a semen analysis on your husband -- men account for aobut half the cases of infertility! What else will be done really depends on your specific history but may include blood tests, a dye study to see of your tubes are open and a postcoital test to see if your cervical mucus is killing hte sperm before they get where they need to go. Your gyn may be able to part or all of hte evaluation or may refer you to a reproductive endocrinologist (infertility specialist) Good luck. It took me, a board certified ob-gyn, 3 years, 2 miscarriages, Clomid, Pergonal and a good RE but I now have a wonderful daughter -- go for evaluation because nothing compares to the joys of motherhood.
