Fempatch

My mom's doctor 'finally' found a hormone therapy for menopause that she could tolerate... actually she was doing very well on it. I even noticed a difference with her emotionally. She was using the Fempatch. But now the pharmacy is telling her and her doctor that it has been taken off the market. They substituted a different patch for her, (not sure of the name), and she cannot tolerate the side-effects, nausea, breast-tenderness and very emotional. Why was Fempatch taken off of the market and is there anything very similar (same hormone dosage) that she might could ask her doctor to let her try? I would appreciate any info anyone can provide. Thanks!
