irregular bleedingFrom: Annie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 14 Apr 2000 18:25:11 -0500 (CDT)
I have been having longer, more painful, periods for the last 2 years or so. i can't wear tampons anymore bacause of large clots. I have much more PMS running a fever, etc. Now I am having them more often like 10 days appart. I have had several tests ruling out endometriosis, cancer, etc. My doctor says it is normal and I have 3 choices. 1)take progesterone 2)take birth controll pills or 3) live with it. the first I tried and could not function on the hormones (reacted like morphine would). the second was not an option for me because I smoke on occasion and the third prevents me from holding down a job. I am 42 years old and still have to work. I have already lost a few jobs. I can't see how this can be normal. What can I do?
