Dr McIntosh,

Sorry for jumping in here....but I noticed your suggestion to her that possibly starting a birth control pill could help. My understanding is that it takes at least a month or two to get regulated, plus with any pill, there may be breakthrough bleeding, which is all she needs. Also, there are side effects to all medications, and I just don't see the sense in having her start a pill program that she won't need after the vacation, could cause her side effects, and could cause her additional bleeding in addition.
