No PeriodsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 9 Apr 2000 19:00:45 -0500 (CDT)
How much does weight actually affect a women's cycle. I am 19 and have had normal periods through out the years. About a year ago I didn't have a period for about 5 months, they put me on the hormone Provera and I did start having a period again. At first my period was irregular, I had a period for 7 days stopped for a week then had another period for 9 days. After that I had normal periods for 7 months then I stopped having a period again, recently I went to the doctor and he automatically said it was my weight and gave me the hormone provera again. I was just wondering how much weight is actually related with the cycle. I haven't drastically gained or lost since my normal periods. Also another factor is I do have ovarian cysts. Would it most likey be my wieght or could there be other factors to consider?
