mild dysplasia

I have recently had a test for dysplasia that included going in and taking a "pinch" from my cervix (I don't know what it's called). They called me in that week to have cryosurgery - due to what they called Mild Dysplasia. Can anyone tell me what that means? My doctor was vague and told me not to worry myself about cancer, etc. That a high percent of the time, the cryosurgery is done and you never have any other symptoms.

What is dysplasia? What causes it? Will it have any affect on my desire to get pregnant?

Thanks!
