Abnormal Pap - How Do You Follow Closely? (Dr. McIntosh, Etc.)

Dr. McIntosh stated - You can follow the patient closely without going that far (hysterectomy) if given a thorough workup and no discernable pathology, even though a recurrent AGUS pap is very concerning.

I was relieved to hear that. If a recurrent AGUS pap occurs, exactly what tests or things need to be done to monitor the patient? (I hope mine don't reoccur but I want to have the necessary knowledge if they do) since I do not want a hysterectomy if I can avoid one.
