Since you are menopausal, this cannot be a follicular cyst. There are times when cysts are present on menopausal ovaries. If they remain clear, simple, and small, they are considered benign. These cysts are non-functional. Often, blood tests for CA125 and CEA are checked to assess a possible risk for ovarian cancer. The size of the cyst determines what follow-up is warranted
