Keep investigating bladder/bowel troubles?

For 3 years approx. I have had bladder problems - frequent UTIs - urgency - constant trips to the bathroom -often every half hour. I had a cystoscopy with urethral dilation 2 years ago but still have problems. Nothing remarkable showed up on the cystoscopy that I am aware of.For last year and a half I have also had bowel issues - intermittent pain & bleeding on bowel movement, frequent pressure/spasms in rectal area and general irritability of the bowels. I had a sigmoidscopy which showed non-bleeding internal hemmorrhoids and received diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome. I am starting to feel like a hypochondriac when I go to doctors , but I feel there is something wrong and that there could be a connection between my two problems. Should I continue to discuss these things with my doctors, or providing symptoms don't worsen , just go with the tests I have had, look after myself and leave it at that.
