Yes, syphilis and AIDS can be transmitted in this manner, although AIDS much less so. I am sure that others can too, but I'm not sure about which ones. Gonorrhea and Chlamydia would most likely not be.

A yeast infection would cause severe pain and itching and discharge. I have never seen one that smelled like baking bread. In fact yeast infection usually doesn't smell.
