Not very likely. The fimbriae or end of the tube migrate to the ovary that is ovulating and stretch out ove r the surface of the ovary and collect the egg into the tube. Many fertility experts will do a laparoscopy and if no fimbriae are seen, they do not proceed with tuboplasty. If there were no fimbriae, they were either removed with a previous tubal ligation or were destroyed by serious infection of the tubes.
