C-section incision is seperating....

I was seen by my OB a couple of weeks ago for lower abdominal pain. He gave me an U/S and told me my incision sight on the right side was seperating inside of me and that will cause me some abdominal pain. My question is will this now form adhesions? Will it heal on its own? And will I forever have that sharp pain in my right side of my abdomen? Is this normal to have happen? Any advice? Thanks.
